Winter is always like that...

By Kartik Lokhande

Winter is always like that. Full of chill, full of poetry.

Warmth of bonfires along the city streets gently pushed aside the invading chill on Wednesday night. As the silent night matured with rays from the full moon occupying the sky, crackling sound of burnt wood in bonfires provided background music to song of insects.

At the same time, frost got busier with its task of invading closed window panes of houses and four-wheelers. However, some tiny drops of chill were so tired that they decided to rest on blades of grass, seats of two-wheelers parked out in the cold, and wherever they found place. As the sky geared up to throw the blanket of darkness and bathe in Sunrays, some dew-drops could not resist the temptation of flirting gently with the blooming buds.

Of course, season is ripe to enjoy cups of tea, warmth beside bonfire, pleasant embrace of woollen gears, gloss of protective creams, hot delicacies, and above all love in the air.

Winter is always like that.
